Yelling basics

Yelling by email

To yell by email, just send a message to

groupname@littleyell.com
username@littleyell.com
microblog@littleyell.com

You can Yell to more than one group or user at a time by specifying each one in the To: or Cc: of your email. For example, an email to

fred@littleyell.com; harleyriders@littleyell.com; microblog@littleyell.com

will cause the Yell to be delivered to the user "fred", the group "harleyriders", and the sender's microblog. LittleYell is smart won't send fred the same Yell more than once if he's in harleyriders or following the sender's microblog.

The easiest way to send an email Yell is often to simply reply to an email you get from LittleYell. If you get a Yell from a group and reply, the group will receive your reply.

Remember that sending a Yell by email does not necessarily mean that the Yell will be delivered by email. The user or group member may have elected to receive the Yell by mobile text message or not receive Yells at all.

Be sure to put the most important part of the message at the beginning of your email.
