You can recommend how groups get your Yells by choosing a delivery preference when you Yell. Click on the More link at the bottom of each Yell box and then select one of the options shown on the right.

Why Recommend?

We say recommend rather than decide because the receiver of the Yell has the final say about how the Yell is delivered. If you might choose mobile text, but either the receiver has specifically decided to receive email or the receiver simply does not have an activated mobile phone. In either case, your Yell will be delivered via email instead of mobile text.

Choosing a delivery preference does not guarantee that the Yell will be delivered they way you specified..

Is Delivery Preference Still Useful?

You might choose email as your delivery preference if your message is very long. Or you might choose email and mobile text to override a group's default delivery. You could also choose send nothing and the Yell will appear on the web, but won't be delivered to users with no delivery preference.

Choosing a delivery preference makes things a little smarter by allowing both the sender and the receiver a voice in how a Yell is delivered.
