Set default delivery
The default delivery setting is used to determine how a Yell is delivered when neither the sender nor the receive specifies a preference. The default delivery setting is used when both
- Yell receiver chooses 'No Preference'
- Yell sender chooses 'No Preference'
The default delivery setting is useful for groups where you want to influence how group members will receive their Yells.
For example, you might decide that your members would prefer to receive emails, but not mobile text messages most of the time. You'd click on the Email setting. Your members could still chose to receive mobile text or both email and mobile text, but if they didn't make that election, they'd only get email.
If your group is very active Yelling, you might even choose Web only as your setting for default delivery. This would require that user's specifically elect to receive Yells by email and/or mobile text. If members get too many messages, they may leave your group. A good group creator or administrator picks a default setting that best suits his group.
