What is LittleYell?
LittleYell is the best way to communicate with your group from the web, email, or your mobile phone. We specialize in short messages (we call them Yells), but can deliver longer Yells by email or the web.
What do I need to use LittleYell?
To get started with LittleYell, all you need is a computer with a web browser or a mobile phone. If you have an email address, you can also receive and respond to Yells via email.
How much does LittleYell cost?
Using the LittleYell web site and sending and receiving Yells is Free. If you use your mobile phone to receive Yells, you'll have to pay for normal text messaging fees. These are the same fees you pay for sending and receiving text message from other people. We encourage you to enter in to a text messaging plan with your mobile provider before you start receiving Yells on your phone.
How do I find my friends?
You can search for friends and connections by clicking on People on the menu bar and then Find People. If you can't find someone on LittleYell, you can invite them to become a user by clicking on Invite People and entering their email address or phone number. LittleYell will send them an invitation to join. Once they log in and create an account, their user information will be added to your My People list.
How can I Yell?
There are three ways you can Yell, from your home page (or a group page or user profile) on LittleYell.com, from your mobile phone, or from email.
How can I receive Yells?
You determine how each group or microblog sends you Yells. You can receive them by email, on your mobile phone, both email and mobile, or just read them on the LittleYell.com site. It's up to you.I Yelled from my mobile phone. Why didn't my group get it on their phone?
Each user sets their own preference for receiving Yells from a group. How they receive it has nothing to do with how you sent the Yell.
What's My Microblog?
A microblog is simply a place where you record very short blog entries. Followers of your microblog read your entries. For LittleYell, a microblog is simply a group that you follow instead of join. Other than that, a microblog mostly works like any other group.
